GREAT JOB! I live in Rancho Cucamonga in the Hellman and 7th St. area and have been walking the Cucamonga Creek Trail from 8th St to Inland Empire Blvd for 5 years now. I've seen the homeless, the graffiti, the vandalism and debris and I have seen it change over the years. There is politics and finger pointing and too little and too much and on and on. There is also action, and that is what I'm commenting on. The work crews are mostly court ordered weekenders are to be commended. It's an on-going problem and will probably not be solved, but you guys make the effort and is doesn't go unnoticed. THANK YOU SB CO PW

Speaking for the San Bernardino mountains, crews are garbage. Failed residents in 2023 blizzard crisis. Continuing to fail residents in 2024. This year seems especially bad. Pretty sure workers are being forced to work snow removal, and their work quality and ethic shows that. Inexperienced heavy equipment operators don't move snow very well, dirt is one thing, snow is another ball game. Seems they intentionally berm driveways when the other side of the street has no driveways. I move snow with heavy equipment for a local government district, so I'm not just a local holding a grudge. They probably aren't properly trained for snow removal and it shows in their quality of work.

The county road crew came to an unincorporated area of Yucaipa at Tennessee Rd and Marbeth on Feb. 10-11. I noticed them working on grading the dirt road extension of Tennessee St. While riding my bike with my dog, I stopped to thank them for always seeming to make time for that road at least once a year, even though it is not a well-travelled road because it is unpaved. I told the young man, who seemed to be a supervisor, how much we appreciated their efforts. I told him that I especially appreciate it because I ride it three times a day, everyday with my dog. I explained that I collect the debris from thoughtless drivers, even as much as a fender one time, and other discards. I told him that I wish I could remove the old refrigerator and tv that someone had tossed, but it was impossible. Unfortunately, it rained heavily the next day, so I didn't go that way until the evening. When I went out the next morning, I was surprised that the refrigerator was gone! I then turned back to look over the hill and the TV was gone as well! What a great job, well done! I am quite sure that it was not their intended mission to remove those items, and I would like to think that it was the mention of my concern. I certainly did not expect that they would or even could remove those items. My greatest appreciation goes out to that that crew, as well as all the other hard-working personnel.
Sincerely, JOHN M MENDOZA

Only took a year after putting in a call for them to come clean the storm drain. Then they decided to leave the random trash and car parts on my lawn. Not impressed.
